It all began with an inquiry on the phone, “Do you know how to do social media, videos, content creation, etc?” “Yes, I have experience running my own branded podcast.” I took the bus to her office in the middle of town. She was a squat-looking woman with a raspy voice, and there was just something about her. She had black hair, brown skin, and wore giant Gucci eyeglasses. I wanted to get a running car again, so I agreed to work with her. She also treated me like I was her assistant. We would go to hair appointments in fancy salons, and I would videotape her for her brand. We would make short how-to videos in her apartment in Little Italy with the big white couch. She often had friends over who were building their own companies. She knew how to make friends easily. We often went out to eat with a view of the ocean. We racked up a whole YouTube channel with several videos all teaching you how to make money. Her name was Aunt Money Moves. I would build websites for her friends for some pay. I eventually got my own car after making an income working for her. I still have that car today and the model is still up to date. Aunt Money Moves business became so successful she now runs it solely from her phone. She taught me a lot about how to start your own business, network, discover your clientele, and have an unwavering belief that you will make it. I believe she's still at it, making friends and edifying people.
